The United States is one of the largest countries in the world, covering an area of ​​approximately 7.700.000 km². This makes the relief in its territory remarkably varied.

As we can see from the map, in the east we find low-lying areas such as the Piedmont Plateau, while in the western half there are large mountainous areas. The highest peak in the state is Mount Denali, which has an altitude of 6.194 meters above sea level and is located in Alaska.

Regarding the hydrographic characteristics of the country, the Great Lakes region stands out in the north (Great lakes), which, with the exception of Lake Michigan, act as a border with Canada. This is where the famous Cataracts Niagara.
